In 1959, Fidel Castro and his Cuban Revolutionaries took Cuba by storm and forever changed the Cuban political landscape. This life-altering change affected many Cubans in the way of property and political rights, but the Cuban passion for life – the passion for music, dance, song, food and family - was left untouched.
The Cuban-born creators/owners of Cuban Bistro longed to provide the public with a restaurant where such passions remain evident; to create a restaurant that reflects the Cuba that existed in its Golden Era. Opulent dining rooms, live music, generous helpings of delicious food, and drinks to quench the thirst created by dancing the night away were just a few staples of the Cuban fine dining experience. |

In 2001, Cuban Bistro opened its doors in Alhambra, California, and invited its guests to partake in this same experience. Convinced that there is more to the Cuban dining experience than the stereotypical cafeteria-style dining that was available, the owners provided their guests with a white linen/semi-fine dining restaurant with fast-casual dining prices. Emphasis is continuously placed on providing seamless, high-quality service, premium-quality food, elegant food presentation, fine table settings, and live entertainment.
As interest in Cuban food – and the Latin community – continues to grow, Cuban Bistro looks to continue its growth with the family exploring new options for the near future. Cuban Bistro is a family-owned and run restaurant. |
